As promised A was the TT and B was the Hugo 2.
I will do a follow up video but for me the TT has a wider fuller smoother sound with more bass at the low end.
Hugo 2 has better resolution and clarity.
Not an easy choice at the moment if I had to pick one. In saying that both are really good.
Listening on a pair of Meze Empyreans. At the beginning, I thought I preferred A because it's a bit brighter and airier, however, as the comparison continued, I found that the sound coming from A is more fatiguing and… I guess a little artificial sounding compared to B. I think A makes a better first impression, but for extended listening sessions, I would choose B.

A is more controlled, smoother. B has more edge, brighter, less controlled, rougher tones, more open?, Wish switching was more frequent. A is more easy to listen to. Vocals from A seem more refined
Based on this hearing (albeit with YouTube compression) I found A to be more neutral in tone with B having more bass weight and possibly more detail retrieval.
Interesting to see how some people had the opposite impression of the sound. I wonder how?
For me it was A as the clear winner, cleaner bass and more separation between instruments whereas B seemed to have a veil over the vocals and muddled lower frequencies.
Test without audio comparison? There is no point in that.
A is more detailed and 3D. B sounds flat.
I have both DACs. My thoughts are that the TT has a fuller sound, more base presence, but less bass detail than the Hugo2. In fact, as a whole, the Hugo2 has more technical prowess over the TT. It has better detail. The TT is quieter than the Hugo2 (less floor noise) and it comes off a bit darker. The Hugo2 is faster, the leading edge of the note is sharper and more focused and the decay is more linear. The superior detail of the Hugo2 makes it an easy choice over the TT for everyday listening– but the TT is perhaps a more pleasant DAC to listen to.
Bottom line for me is if you need the balanced output (which I do for my office rig) the TT is the one I use more because it's wired into my system. But if I have to choose one over the other, I'm taking the detail of the Hugo2, it's just technically superior.

A is upfront and revealing. But, B also adds a thin layer of musicality. I have to choose B, as I feel the sound lands softer on the ears, and hence allows you to enjoy listening to music for much longer periods.
Is it right to listen to this review through a Hugo2 … or does that complicate matters 😀
I was like most comment here prefer B more. But I found It can be seriously affected by how I play this video through!
Through iPhone X, B is better, more balanced, and A sounds more upfront. Though headphone, as simple as b&w p7 with dacport, B is muddy, yet A is balanced and resolving.!
Well, as interesting as this was, hope more people would do this, I still have no idea which is which… Making it sorta pointless at the end of the day sadly :p
A for me, but wouldn't be ТТ2 the dac to compare to hugo 2?
